Termite Heat Treatments
We offer an alternative to whole structure fumigation. Heat treating is one of the most effective ways to eradicate drywood termites. The process is simple, "We Bake Em." Drywood termites cannot survive in excess temperatures of 130' or more. Our technicians strategically place vents in areas of your property and "Blow Heat" into the areas for approximately 5-7 hrs. This process does not involve any chemicals and in many cases is the preferred method.

Annual Termite Control Programs
We offer annual termite programs to guard against infestation of both drywood and subterranean termites. The program includes an annual inspection and treatment if needed. During our annual inspection we look for any new infestations of termites. When found, the technician will provide treatment for control. We also look for conditions that can contribute to the termite infestation such as unpainted wood, water leaks, improperly stored firewood, faulty grade levels, roof leaks etc. Termites swarm annually so the inspection is a must to stay ahead of any problems and minimize them when they arise.
Fungus Eradication
When wood is exposed to moisture fungus can begin to grow. This fungus will damage the wood and can cause costly damage. If the fungus has not yet structurally damaged the wood, a fungicide can be applied to kill the existing fungus and prevent further growing. Exteriors of home's affected are usually fascias, siding, rafter tails, siding trim, wood patio, window trim, roofing etc. Our crews can scrape and prevent these fungi infestations by using the latest fungicide.
Localize Drywood Spot Treatments
After one of our experienced/ licensed inspectors has performed a full inspection of the property, a spot treatment may be recommended. This treatment is offered if the inspector believes the infestation is localized and does not go into the inaccessible areas. Sometimes drilling of 1/8 inch holes are performed to inject the termiticides and topical treatments are sometimes warranted. After treatment we also offer annual programs to protect you home.
Subterranean Termite Treatments
Subterranean termites can cause major damage to a home, since their colonies are in the ground, we must protect the structure by applying termiticides into the soil. To do so a barrier is formed by trenching the soil at the exterior of the foundation. Subterranean termites can enter the interior of the house by building "mud tubes". The tubes can come in through cracks and crevices in your slab or at the plumbing points unnoticed. Sometime drilling 1/2 holes at strategic areas is needed to inject termiticides under the slab. Our goal is to create a chemical barrier and keep the termites from entering your home. Subterranean termites are sneaky, and are attracted to moisture issues in the home. Our licensed and experienced inspectors will perform an inspection and recommend the best strategy for subterranean eradication.
Dry Rot & Termite Damage Repair
When fungus, dry rot, and/or termites have infested a house the damage they leave behind can be ugly. Our crews perform damage repair to eaves, patio covers, doors, siding, trim, roof sheathing etc. Our goal is to put your home back the way it was before the infestation took place. Termites cause billions of damage to homes annually. Getting rid of the infestation is one thing, but sometimes the damage is worse than you can imagine. Our experienced carpenters will restore your home and have done so for over 25 yrs!
Tent Fumigations
In some cases whole structure fumigations are recommended for dry wood termite eradication, in which case the process can take approximately 2.5 days. Palomar Termite and Pest Control has performed thousands of termite fumigations since 1992, We sit with our customers and go over the process step by step. A written preparation sheet is reviewed with one of our inspectors and special bags are given to the customer to protect food and medicines. We walk the property with you and show you in detail what to expect. A three year warranty is given with options to renew control services annually.
